Dear Friends:
The High Holy Days are just two months away. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we extend warmest wishes to you and your family for a very Happy, Healthy, and Blessed New Year. L'shana tovah tikatevu; may you be inscribed for a good year.
Tickets for the High Holy Day Services may be purchased by non-members for $250. Members who wish to purchase additional tickets for friends and family may do so for $150 per person. Please call the Synagogue office to order tickets in advance. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door. Ticket purchases will be credited towards membership dues for those who would like to join our congregation. Information about the Yom Kippur Memorial Book will be posted, and mailed out, shortly.
It is traditional for con gregants to make Kol Nidre pledges. As a small congregation, we are very dependent on the generosity of our members and friends. We are grateful for your support and we hope that you will observe the New Year, 5769, with an increased donation.
Rabbi Goor will be back, leading our holiday services. Cantor Michael Nieman is fully recovered, and will be back this year as well. Musical Director Jerry Brown and our choir will be providing the same inspiring musical accompaniment to our services that they have in years past.
The highlights of the services, as always, will be the Rosh Hashanah Shofar service with French Horn accompaniment, the Kol Nidre and Musical Meditation Before the ark played by Roman Mekinulov. Once again, our popular Children's Service, open to the public, will be held Yom Kippur afternoon at 1:30 pm. We will end the High Holy Days with the traditional Break the Fast in the Assembly Hall.
We hope that you and your families will join us and the members of the Congregation during the High Holy Days season, at Friday night services beginning September 5th at 6:00 pm, and at other joyous occasions throughouth the coming year.
